Firm Background

MAY Construction Company is a third generation construction company, with 75 years of experience in the construction industry in Arkansas and the adjoining states. The MAY Family wholly owns MAY Construction Company. A leader in the design-build delivery system, MAY Construction Company has developed and constructed in excess of $120 million in retail, office building, manufacturing and warehouse construction in the past seven years.

MAY Construction Company operates out of their corporate headquarters in Little Rock, Arkansas, and also has a branch office located in Bentonville, Arkansas.

Safety

MAY Construction Company is committed to the safety and health of all its employees, subcontractors, and subcontractor employees. In the effort to make our projects site accident free, we take every practical action necessary to make the working conditions as free as possible of the hazards that exist with the construction industry. MAY contractually requires that all subcontractors give written evidence of a Safety Program and enforcement procedures which provides a safer place for our employees and Subcontractors.

The effectiveness of our safety plan demonstrated by our safety performance over the past five years. We've achieved a:

• Reduction in accidents and injuries
• Reduction in our EMR (experience modification rate) to .64
• Reduction in insurance premiums and related costs
• Reduction in workers' compensation claims and dollars paid in medical and time off work due to work related injuries

In November, 2000, The Associated General Contractors of Arkansas, and OSHA, entered into a partnership agreement whereby members of the AGC, including MAY Construction Company, were invited to "partner" to provide safe and healthy workplaces. This partnership agreement provides for two levels of participation, Level One being the highest. MAY Construction Company is one of those Level One partners.
